Garden Heritage and Communication Conference

Date: April 20-21-22, 2023 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Location: Budapest, Petőfi Literary Museum and Károlyi Garden

This year’s international conference focuses on communication. We are seeking to find the answer how we should transmit all the knowledge and information connected to this heritage to the different generations today. The professional conference is followed by a selection of multifarious programs targeted on the general public in the Petőfi Literary Museum and Károlyi Garden.

Besides its significance of history, local history, art and society, garden heritage conveys natural, regional, ecological and botanical values. Our gardens are homes for recreation, tourism, and venues of cultural programs. The scope of this conference is to transmit printed information as well as to present and discuss the possibilities of the digital world’s innovative set of instruments. We are looking forward to welcoming those interested in the topic with the participation of renowned international and national speakers, and with workshops, activities for school groups and activities open to the public intended for both children and adults.

The principal goal of this year’s conference is to find out what tools are needed to pique and keep people’s interest in one of the most beautiful living and artistic heritage, the magnificent world of gardens and how today’s modern set of instruments can help lead individuals back to the reality of nature, art and the community.
